Message from the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (B.O.T) – Br. Safdar Chatoo
Salaamun Alaikum
It is with great pride and pleasure that I see the launch of the website of the KSIJ of Kinshasa. Insha’Allah, over time, this website will become the point of reference for our members to obtain information about religious, educational (madressah), and community events. It will further be a referral point for other International Jamaats who would like to obtain any further information on our constituent body or its individual members.
We must use the launch of the website as an opportunity to ensure that we are careful as to the information that is broadcast online. With the widespread growth of social media, information is freely and readily available; however, this can be easily misused and allow for the spread of incorrect and false information. With the launch of the website of the KSIJ of Kinshasa we have a responsibility to be accurate and honest in the news that we circulate amongst our members. I am glad that we have this chance to educate our members and we will take this opportunity very seriously.
The KSIJ ASBL was registered as a non-profit entity in August 2005. At the time of the formation of this non-profit organization, select members were appointed as trustees to safeguard the assets acquired by the organization. These trustees have been instrumental in the acquisition of Imambargahs in Kisangani, Lubumbashi and Kinshasa alongside cemeteries in Kisangani and Lubumbashi. Their continual involvement is imperative to the success and development of these institutes. In 2012/2013, an executive Board of Trustees was elected by the General body. Soon thereafter, the B.O.T started operating as per the prescriptions laid out in the constitution of the KSIJ of Kinshasa. The B.O.T is comprised of educated members who are based in the Congo for over 25 years. It is the objective of the B.O.T to ensure that our next generation achieve a higher level of education to easily embrace the challenges ahead of us. The B.O.T has formed an educational development committee (EDC) exclusively for this purpose.
I urge the members of our Jamaat to work in unison and harmony, not only for the advancement and good of our community, but also for the benefit of the greater community in which we live. We must always lead by example, with the objective of being seen as decent, respectful, and valuable citizens in the eyes of our host country. Our actions, deeds, and words should be beyond reproach at all times.
Last but not least, I would like to extend my gratitude to Br. Kazim Lilani and Br. Mohamed Ali Rahemtulla for taking the initiative and dedicating their valuable time to the creation and launch of this website.

Message from the President of the Managing Committee – Br. Arif Gulam Abbas Rajshi
Bismillahi Rahman nir Rahim
My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam, Assalamun Alaykum.
As our Jamaat is known by the Jamaat of young members; having majority of the people under the age of 30-35 years (Mashallah). All I would say is that we should attain wisdom, kindness, and patience, as they are the virtues that would lead to success in life. Always try to be excellent and an example for the rest in any profession you are in, as that is what our Masoomeen (as) want to see in their Shia.
May Allah (swt) grant us all with more barkat and a successful life with strong Imaan (ameen).
I would also like to specially thank our honorable secretary Br. Naushad Minsariya for his continuous support to successfully handle the upcoming challenges during his serving period.
My sincere thanks and duas to my entire team – committee members and sub committee members for the excellent support to run programs successfully and to accomplish their given responsibilities.
Also, I would like to thank the Jamaat’s ladies Volunteers for their time & efforts in each program’s preparations through which we have a successful event.
My message would be incomplete if I do not remember the Magazine Publishers and its entire team who give such a dynamic gift to the Jamaat which is a “Symbol of Honor” for us.
